Şafak Müderrisgil, Chair of the Executive Committee of Etkityap, delivered a training on “Impact Investments in the Sustainable Investments Spectrum” within the scope of the Beginning Node Academy, an initiative of the Turkish Informatics Foundation, which aims to create an educational alternative for university students within the framework of 21st century competencies.
In her speech, Şafak Müderrisgil addressed “impactful youth”, respectively; she gave detailed information on topics such as being able to look at actions through the lens of “impact”, the importance of sustainable investments and sustainability in the context of “impact”, examples of impact investment, the impact investment ecosystem in Turkey and the opportunities/challenges in the impact investment ecosystem. Şafak Müderrisgil, who talked about the paradigm change caused by the 2008 Economic Crisis and the connection between the increasing sustainable investment trend and impact investment, emphasized that impact investments within the Sustainable Investment Spectrum ensure the sustainability of the investment by actively aiming to create positive social and environmental impact from the very beginning of the investment.
