The Ministry of Industry and Technology GAP (Southeastern Anatolia Project) Regional Development Administration carries out studies aimed at reducing poverty, promoting participatory approaches, and capacity building. The projects/programmes within the scope of all these studies are carried out by considering disadvantaged groups and the gender perspective. One of these programmes, GAP-Cheetos Child Development Centres, one built in Batman and the other in Nusaybin, were put into service in 2003 as centres that provide physical, mental, emotional and social development for children aged 4-14 in the GAP Region. Following the positive results, Child Development Centres were established, bringing the number of centres to 13 across 9 provinces, all of which continue their activities.
Purpose of the Analysis
